Traveling from Boston to Washington, D.C. is a classic Northeast corridor journey. You can take the Amtrak Northeast Regional or Acela, which connects South Station directly to Union Station. Alternatively, flights from Logan International Airport (BOS) to Reagan National (DCA) take about 90 minutes in the air. Driving is possible via I-95 South, but it is a long 8-to-10-hour trip through several major cities. The train is widely considered the most relaxing way to travel between these two historic hubs.
Total Distance: Driving distance 700 km; straight-line air distance 610 km.
