The route from Sewanee to Lexington takes you north through the scenic Cumberland Gap region. You will take I-24 West to I-75 North, passing through Knoxville. The total distance is approximately 230 miles. Expect a drive time of about 3.5 hours. The landscape transitions from the Cumberland Plateau into the rolling hills of the Bluegrass region.
