Skagway and Juneau are connected primarily by the Alaska Marine Highway System (ferry) or small regional aircraft. There are no roads connecting these two cities. The ferry ride is a scenic 6-hour journey through the Lynn Canal, offering views of glaciers and wildlife. Flights are much faster, taking about 30 minutes, but are subject to weather conditions. Both cities are deeply rooted in Gold Rush history and offer stunning coastal scenery.
Total Distance: Straight-line air distance 160 km.
