The drive from Stearns to Ashland covers 180 miles through the scenic Appalachian Mountains of eastern Kentucky. You will head north on US-27 and then navigate a series of state routes including KY-80 and KY-15 to reach the Ohio River city of Ashland. This route takes approximately 3.5 hours and offers stunning views of the Daniel Boone National Forest. It is a driving-only route as no public transit connects these two mountain towns.
