The most practical way to reach Washington, D.C. from St. Cloud is to drive to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and take a direct flight to Reagan National Airport (DCA). The flight takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Amtrak service is available but requires a long journey with transfers in Chicago. Washington, D.C. has an excellent Metro system that makes getting around the city very easy.
